Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of justsalt.co.za (the "Site") and the supply of pool equipment, parts and services by Just Salt ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

Just Salt is a swimming pool equipment supplier trading in the Western Cape, South Africa. We supply saltwater chlorinators, pool cleaners, filter media and related water-care products, and offer on-site installation and servicing across Cape Town metro, Boland and Overberg.

2. Use of the Site

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this Site or place an order.
  • You agree not to misuse the Site (no scraping, no attempts to bypass security, no fraudulent orders).
  • We may update the Site at any time without notice.
  • We try to keep product information accurate but specifications and stock may change without notice.

3. Quotes, pricing & VAT

  • All prices listed on the Site or quoted by us are in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • The current VAT rate is 15%. VAT is added on the invoice.
  • Quotes are valid for 14 days from issue unless we say otherwise in writing.
  • Trade and body-corporate pricing is available on application.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a listed price is wrong, we will contact you before processing the order.

4. Orders, payment & delivery

  • Orders are confirmed only once we have received payment (or a confirmed purchase order from an approved account).
  • We accept EFT, card (via a PCI-DSS compliant processor) and approved-account invoicing.
  • Delivery is included on orders over R 2 500 within Cape Town metro; otherwise a delivery fee applies. Outside our service area we ship via courier at cost.
  • Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes on receipt of full payment.
  • Lead times on special-order items are estimates only; we are not liable for delays outside our control.

5. Warranties & returns

  • Manufacturer warranties (e.g. Jasco chlorinators carry a 3-year cell warranty, longer on the power unit) apply in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA).
  • Warranty excludes damage from incorrect installation, water chemistry outside recommended ranges, lightning, power surges or unauthorised modifications.
  • You may return unused stock in original packaging within 14 days of delivery for a refund (less a 10% handling fee) — see our returns process below.
  • Custom orders, opened media and used parts are non-returnable.

6. Returns process

  1. Email info@justsalt.co.za within 14 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will issue an RMA number and return instructions.
  3. Return the item at your cost, in original packaging, with the RMA clearly marked.
  4. Once inspected, we refund within 7 business days via the original payment method, less the 10% handling fee.

7. Installation & service work

  • On-site installation and service is available within Cape Town metro, Boland and Overberg.
  • Quoted installation pricing assumes standard residential plumbing and electrical. If site conditions differ (e.g. additional pipework, new electrical point, access issues), we will advise before starting work.
  • Service visits cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at 50% of the visit fee.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site or our products is limited to the amount you actually paid for the relevant product or service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the CPA or other applicable South African law.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including power cuts, water restrictions, severe weather, road closures, strikes or supplier failures.

10. Account & security

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, images, logos, product names — is owned by us or our licensors. You may view and share links for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy or republish content without our written permission.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites (e.g. payment processor, manufacturer pages). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of the Western Cape, unless you are a consumer and the CPA gives you the right to bring action in your home jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version is always posted on this page with the "Last updated" date above. For material changes we will notify you by email or by a banner on the Site.
